Fantastic experience: It has been one of the best experiences we have ever had at these kinds of restaurants, if not the best. The overall experience has been great, every little detail is considered and carefully planned. Tons of different (modern and old) techniques and ingredients, and, above all, delicious dishes (we've been at places with outstanding techniques but tasteless dishes). The service was wonderful and really knowledgeable. The wine cellar is wonderful with +5k reference and +70k bottles; one of their sommeliers gave us a tour and a very nice explanation. As I've already mentioned, a wonderful experience. Of course, I do know it's an expensive place, but, for me, it's been totally worth it.

Fantastic experience: @cellercanroca was our 3rd restaurant of the best of the best restaurants from @theworlds50best A last minute cancellation on a 11 month waiting list for the 2 days we happened to be in Girona. If that isn’t fate then I don’t know what is. We were personally greeted by one of the brothers as we seated a fantastic personal touch. Food: we have never been served so many courses anywhere before. We were stuffed (very rare thing for me to say ). Every dish was unique. Either a gel, foam, melt in your mouth, or within one tiny dish every bite the flavour changes. It was truly remarkable. Favourite dishes: Amuse Bouche: Foie gras cocoa (won’t lie all of these were some of the most memorable dishes) Starters: Candied artichoke heart - artichoke leaf sauce, Parmesan and walnut sauce, truffle sauce, caramelised onion and fermented shallot. Fish/meat: Charcoal grilled Turbot fins with a pilpil of oxalis flowers, turbot carpaccio and with grapefruit and black olive tartare, turbot supreme confit with garlic oil. Dessert: Ganache of white chocolate and muscovado sugar Wild strawberry, jelly of its juice, jelly of wild strawberry, fennel crumble, sprouts of beetroot and fennel, wild strawberry sorbet. Venue: wow. Modern, nature inspired with a stunning terrace and a huge triangle in the middle with trees in (presuming each corner representing a brother. Service: flawless, the slight unease you feel going into an establishment like this is washed away with a sea of friendly smiles and the intricate knowledge of each dish is incredible. Fantastic experience: It took me a month to write a review for this amazing dinner. It was a 4 hour fine dining and without exaggeration we were experiencing an art show, everything was so beautiful and creative, the best thing we did was to take the pairing wine menu, so we were not only enjoying the delicious food but also tasting many unique wines which are not available in the market (20 types totally), the taste of food and wine are really fulfilling each other and we got the most of it. With the efforts of the chefs for each dish, the sophistication in every detail and the professional services, I think the price for this amazing dinner is very reasonable. We were able to take a photo with Joan and received a gift with their signatures on it. It’s truly amazing!

Fantastic experience: Did lunch with the wine pairing. Spent 3 hours there going thru 20 courses and 11 wines. Worth every penny and I liked almost every dish that came out. They have free parking and I chose to walk there from the old part of Girona (20 mins). This is a must do if you can get a reservation.

Fantastic experience: Located near Barcelona, El Celler de Can Roca is the work of three brothers: Josep, Jordi and Joan Roca. The restaurant offers three menus, with three, five or nine dishes and a spectacular wine cellar. Fantastic experience: 11 months wait totally worth it. One of my best meals ever. More than 30 dishes, all of them have a huge story behind. The whole meal is a fantastic experience that is worth the wait and the price ($225 menu per person) we ordered also a bottle of wine that was more than enough for the meal. The desserts are incredible, a piece of art thanks to Jordi Roca. Josep, sommelier, came to our table and thank our visit, great touch that we loved. We also saw Jordi and Joan on our way out. My wife and I loved the experience, food, service, and everything related with our meal.

Fantastic experience: Looove this restaurant! The staff is really friendly and the whole atmosphere was very nice. I really enjoyed how they are willing to substitute the menu if you don't eat something on the menu. We didn't change anything because we wanted to experience the 3 Michelin Star experience but I lived how we had a option. The food was very creative and I enjoyed the interactive appetizer (the globe) and the olive tree. The personal touches in scene (in print) of the brothers in one of the dishes and it makes you feel like you're a part of their world - loved it! While we were leaving we were admiring the awards and the family pictures and we started talking to the waiter about how we loved the meal and we came all the way to Girona just to dine there. He asked if we would like a picture with the brothers. My husbands jaw dropped. He is a huge fan. Unfortunately he wasn't able to find all the brothers but Jordi was available. OMG... we love JORDI. Fantastic experience: Going to El Celler de Can Roca was an absolute dream. We caught a train to Girona from Barcelona Sants (to Cerbere - though there are many that have Girona in their route). We went for lunch on a Friday. The restaurant is a walk’s away from the old town in a non-descript really, very suburban neighbourhood. You walk up to a beautiful patio that leads down a long hallway eventually to the dining area itself. The decor and the ambience of the restaurant is very subtle - plays on the magic of a quiet woods. We ordered the feast menu for 225 euros per person, a bit more substantial versus the other menu especially in the area of desserts, and we know the brothers are known for their pastry. Everyone receives a lovely glass of welcome cava. Each course was elegant and refined up until the petit fours - a large whimsical cart with a number of bon bons and cakes - were served. There was classicism and innovation, and everything tasted really fresh and thought out. There was especially some playfulness in their amuse Bouche courses. Only thing we would pick on is that they did the bread sweep really into the end of the courses even though we had finished with bread for awhile. The crowning surprise was a lovely cotton candy and papaya dessert for our wedding anniversary. That was our favourite. Loved the whole meal - it was perfect.

Well, this restaurant didn’t disappoint at all. El Cellar de Can Roca is the best restaurant I have ever eaten in. Every dish is incredibly clever and perfectly executed. The amount of thought and care that has gone into each dish is absolutely mind-boggling. Then, when you think you’re finishing, the desserts come and things are taken to another level. Fantastic experience: The best meal of my life with the most attentive and eager to please staff ever! The food is absolutely amazing and it’s clear that it earns its 3 Michelin stars. The flavours are complex and every dish is unique. They are happy to accommodate dietary requests and if you are served a dish you don’t like - I got a prawn dish and hate fishy seafood so I didn’t touch it - they happily made me a new dish that was devine in its place. It’s a place you’ll want to try more than once but with the long waiting list and hard to get reservations, you’ll appreciate your experience as the opportunity that it is. Ps beware the mosquitoes in the garden. Nothing the staff can do about them but they are quite agressive.

Fantastic experience: A devotion to do whatever it takes to create the perfect dining experience for each and every guest. That is what makes Can Roca one of the greatest restaurant's in the world. These two brother's passion for food and wine sings clear through every plate and every page of the wine list. The staff is 100% on point at all times yet able to make their guests feel comfortable and completely at home. Due to my dietary restrictions, my menu was heavily modified, but everyone else at my table was was in awe of each and every plate. As for me, Can Roca went above and beyond to make my experience special.... including, making me a cheese plate for dessert out the Chef's own home refrigerator--can you even imagine? Fantastic experience: Wow! What an experience! From the time you walk in, you feel like you are in en enchanted forest. Loved the ambiance, the food, the creativity and the passion. The wine pairing was honestly the best we ever had, each wine was a gem of its own. The prawn dishes, the truffle, smoked duck.....the red salad...were out of this world. And the olives hanging from the tree! Pure magic. The only disappointments were the desserts, none of them was on par with the rest of the experience. In fact, they were pretty bland and unremarkable. I much prefer Jordi's Rocambolesc ice cream. Lastly, I was disappointed the restaurant did not acknowledge my birthday which I mentioned at the time of my booking. But, altogether it has been an unforgettable experience.

Fantastic experience: An incredible dining experience and one of my greatest food experiences. It's a "bargain" in the world of 3 Michelin star cuisine, though it's also as good as any as well. There was about 23 canapés one of which was a divine truffle ball (not a meatball) and 7 courses of fish in a row (not a bad thing for myself personally but the other half was a bit fished out but he also adored the final fish dish which was the smoked eel). Our second sommelier was also better than the first - could not tell u names but second one actually looked like he enjoyed being there. The wines menu is also the size of a small human. We were lucky to have the private room which was super special. All jokes aside it was an amazing meal with some nice surprise touches. Be careful of runaway balls

Fantastic experience: What an amazing way to spend the afternoon. Take the train to Girona - only 40 mins each way. From the train station its a 7 min taxi ride or a 25 min walk. Food is stellar, service impeccable. We were so lucky to dine there!

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! We took a bigger tasting menu and it was great. Everything combined with great selection of vines. The best vine for me was Sicus Mediterrani 2013 sweet thick wine with the deserts. Restaurant is great. Only minus were deserts, maybe not on the level of the restaurant. Jordi needs to catch up with the broters.

Fantastic experience: Lived up to expectations as the rank one restaurant. The first few courses were cute and prop driven, but most of the meal was what you would expect. Compared to other restaurants towards the top of the best 50, the service was sub-par but the food more than made up for it. The wine pairing were very thoughtful, and the dessert courses really blew me away. The restaurant was very tasteful with a huge, glass, tree-filled atrium in the center. Worth the trip to Girona? Definitely.

Fantastic experience: The most amazing meal I've ever had! The food, the theatre and the service are second to none. Way beyond my expectations and worth every cent and booking 11 months in advance. We spent 5 hours there for lunch and had a tour of the kitchen and the 60,000 bottle wine cellar. An experience my wife and I will never forget.

Fantastic experience: A spectacular meal worth visiting Spain for. If travelling from Barcelona, there's a fast train that gets you to Girona in just over half an hour (then a short taxi ride to the restaurant itself). Leaving after the meal can be an issue if you're having dinner, so be prepared to stay the night in Girona or pay for a pricey taxi ride back to BCN. The food is creative yet firmly Catalan, so you don't feel as though you could be having this meal anywhere in the world, which is often the case with fine dining these days. There's a choice of two tasting menus - classic or "feast", which is the more modern one that we chose. The cellar is vast and wines are exceptionally well-priced, even if it weren't one of the world's top restaurants. At the time of writing, the feast menu was under 200E (not including wine) which is extremely reasonable. The amount of skill, work, and quality of ingredients make it more than worth it.

Fantastic experience: Best restaurant I have ever been so far. Incredible dining experience! I didn't feel uncomfortable for a second. Elegance place, the seating and tables are spaced well enough for me to talk to my friend without thinking I would disturb others lol thoughtful throughout! Portable phone charger can be provided if your phone was dead after taking many pictures of the whole experience like I did. The starter was amazing. Every dish is a story, an art. The flavor of every ingredients were well expressed. Everything was cooked to perfection.Worth every pennies! Will definitely go again ! Make sure you have an empty stomach before you go. Unlike some restaurants, I had much more than what I paid for.

Fantastic experience: Best fine dining restaurant so far. Quality / price unbeatable since there are other 3 Michelin star restaurant that are more expensive. Extensive selection of wines and cavas mostly from Spain. High quality service as expected. Amazing food, none of their dishes had a problem at all. Presentation of the dish brought to a next level. Restaurant itself it's just 15 Min from Girona centre. Quite cosy inside, tables are arranged so you can have some intimacy. Only one toilet per sex so maybe it would be worth adding couple more. I'll be booking again and wait 11 month to go!
