The charming hotel, with many exquisite corners, covered in stories and details. The rooms are very good, super comfortable beds and mattresses !! The spacious bathroom. Both the room and the bathroom very well lit and very well heated. Everything was very clean, when entering the room you could smell a clean and tidy aroma. They have three details that absolutely conquered me, in addition to the attention, 1) that they allow pets, 2) the ground fires (chimneys) ideal for winter evenings with a chocolate that you can prepare right there in their dining area and that is the detail 3) in the dining area they have a table where the guests have at their disposal 24 hours a day, to be able to have a coffee, water, chocolate, infusion, and to be able to taste it on their terrace, in the living room next to the fireplace or in our room... I thought it was a great idea! We are delighted with the place and its people, as soon as we left the hotel we have booked to spend Christmas there.

Fantastic experience: Charming, welcoming, very kind and friendly. It was our time to leave the hotel and they stored our bags so we would not carry them while we continued visiting the town. They offer teas throughout the day, you can light the fireplace, etc. A place charm.

Fantastic experience: We lived in the hotel for 6 days during the festival "Medieval Besalu-2017". The hotel is very well located on the opposite bank of the river Fluvia from the city. Only in this hotel, all rooms have a view of the city and the PONT VELL Roman bridge. It is only 20 meters from the hotel entrance to the bridge. There is a free car park near the hotel. Due to the large influx of tourists during the festival and the small number of hotels in the city, a room reservation was made on the hotel's website back in October 2016. The hotel's interiors are decorated with paintings by local artists. All corner rooms have balconies on both sides. The room is clean, comfortable and furnished in the style of the 60s of the 20th century. Rooms were cleaned every day, bed linen was changed every other day, towels in the shower - on demand. Nice, helpful and helpful staff. Only Senora Anna, a very kind and sociable woman, and her son Gerard, a pleasant young man, speak English. He corresponded with us for a year before our arrival, promptly answering our questions regarding the organization of the festival. We got to Besalu in a rented car from Barcelona and Señora Anna met us at the agreed time of our arrival, took us around the hotel and told its story. Breakfasts are simple but hearty in a homely atmosphere. The hotel is small, room service and visitors are served during breakfast by an elderly couple. They don't speak English but are very kind and outgoing. We met by chance in the evening on the street in the city and they warmly and cordially greeted us as good friends. Remained the most pleasant impression and memories of living and communicating with people working at the hotel. We recommend this hotel for people who value home comfort and tranquility and are not used to high-tech and constantly working gadgets. Vladimir and Natalia, Rostov-on-Don. 30.08-06.09.2017 We had been living 6 days in the hotel ELS JARDINS DE LA MARTANA during the festival BESALU MEDIEVAL-2017. The hotel is very good situated on the opposite side from Besalu on the coast of river Fluvia. All this hotel’s rooms only have view to the Besalu and medieval bridge PONT VELL. Just 20 meters only are from the hotel's entry to the Bridge. There is public parking 50 meters off the Hotel. Due to lot of tourists during the Festival and insufficiency of hotels in Besalu the room’s booking had being made via the hotel’s website at the October, 2016. The Hotel’s interiors are decorated with pictures of local painters. All corner rooms have balconies to both sides. The room is clean and comfortable with style of 60ths of 20 century. Rooms cleaning had every day, linings change day after day, towels in bathroom on request. Staff is pleasant, responsive and attentive. Only senora Anna, very kind and sociable woman, and her son Gerard, yang pleasant men, speak English. He had being maintaining E-mail conversation during the year before our arrival answering to our questions regarding to the Festival. We had arrived to Besalu from Barcelona and senora Anna had greeted us at the pointed time, guided through the Hotel and told the Hotel’s history. The breakfasts are common but nourishing going on in home surrounding. The Hotel is not big and the room’s and breakfast’s servicing is conducted by the not yang couple. They don’t speak English but very kind and sociable. Once at evening we had met them on town’s street and they saluted us very cordial as well known friends. We have best expression and reminiscences about being in the Hotel and communication with peoples working there. We recommend the hotel ELS JARDINS DE LA MARTANA in Besalu for thous who appreciate domestic surrounding and calmness and have not in habit Hy-Tech. We went on a professional trip for one night alone, but Quiscu treated us as if we were part of the family and he filled us with attention, so that we would not miss anything.
