It is a house, with several very nice rooms, very well decorated, with a spectacular bathroom. We were in the Lavanda room and very well. We rest without noise. The breakfast very good. There is a small pool, yes, if there are children you surely can not bathe in peace. They have some room and apartments for families. It is very close to beautiful medieval towns and Girona. Fantastic experience: We had a spectacular stay at Can Bassa in the Els Angels "mother in law" unit. Spread out over three floors, it was much bigger than we expected from the photos, with a terrific view of the Emporda countryside from a large top-floor patio. The unit was spotless and the location was perfect -- on the edge of the gorgeous Medieval village of Madremanya. Perfect for exploring the entire Costa Brava and even the Catalan Pyrenees (we did both). The only noise we heard was the occasional chiming of the nearby church bell and the doves cooing in the morning! So relaxing! Pedro and staff could not have been nicer & we got excellent dinner recommendations every time we asked for them. Highly recommend Can Bassa; you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Madremanya is a beautiful village and Can Bassa is the perfect place to stay in, while visiting this medieval village in catalunya's country side. The decor is rustic but modern but not in an overloading manner. The whole mansion is very well maintained and everything is extremely clean. The architects whom redesigned it did an overwhelming job and the result is cozy, romantic and enjoyable.
