The Hostal de La Gavina has 74 rooms, all different in size and decoration but all maintaining the same charm and quality of its components. The rooms are the real protagonists of the Hotel's important artistic heritage, which it preserves and takes care of in the smallest detail.
From classical Mediterranean to Imperial or Elizabethan styles. All rooms are upholstered in fine silks, fine woods, Venetian lamps in Murano glass, Egyptian linen bedding of the highest quality and comfortable bathrooms filled with Italian marble.

Fantastic experience: A true heaven of peace. We spent three nights in La Gavina for celebrating our engagement. The hotel is a magical place mixing elegance, refinement and simple true luxury. From the main pool overlooking the bay of S’Agaro to the gardens to the authentic interiors of the hotel and rooms, everything is a beauty. We are LHW members, and the hotel was very generous to give us an upgrade to a Junior Suite with a huge terrasse. That room decoration set you back to the past, a remarkable atmosphere, and we could not better start the day by enjoying the sunrise while doing meditation on the terrasse. We really liked the indoor pool area and jacuzzi. The fitness equipped with a few Technogym machines is also functional. About restaurants, breakfast room was grandiose but the breakfast offering was lacking a bit of choices. Especially the service was disappointing and not matching at all the levels of standards of the hotel. There were the only little disappointment of our experience. We ate a few times in the restaurant at the entrance of the hotel, the food was good but the service given by the same staff from breakfast was average. However, the Candlelight restaurant was an incredible experience, the service was remarkable with passionate waiters who were so delighted to make us feel happy. We went for the menu which was an absolute delight, probably one of the best food experience we ever had. The restaurant room is also magnificent, we were accompanied by a pianist. This restaurant should deserve a Michelin star, far more than other Michelin restaurants. Overall, we left the hotel with great joy having spent a memorable experience in this magnificent jewel.

I can't comment on how this place is normally run, but I can say that the four day event we attended had the best run staff of any resort we've seen. The staff was always exactly where they needed to be. They were always around when you needed something, but never got in the way. The grounds are of course wonderful and well maintained, but the staff made it even better. The rooms are antique feeling (in a good way) and cozy, and we had a great view of the ocean. The complex is huge, but very well partitioned so you don't feel like you're in a giant resort. Each section is private and somewhat secluded. Inside and outside the hotel you'll also find plenty of gathering areas with a few bars included. There's a beach a short 3 min walk down the hill, and there's a walking trail that goes for miles around the sea. There's also a nice restaurant right down the hill. The catered food was amazing and well prepared. The drinks and bar staff were even better. Other than a large price tag, this place has no downsides. Would certainly go again.
