Enjoy two outdoor pools with a restaurant for lunch and a drink a few meters from one of them and in the other we find another chill out area. There is another quality restaurant for dinner. The breakfast buffet is not the biggest I have seen but there was variety and quality products, quite good. In addition, the place where you have breakfast is outside and is very well set. Breakfast time is 8-10: 30 and maybe someone else would appreciate half an hour more. The service is very friendly and attentive at all times. We would have liked the bed to have been double and not two singles together so check back soon if you are interested. The only negative point that would really stand out is the parking lot: you can accept that it is dirt but then you have to be careful, it was full of landslides and it was a circular odyssey. Fantastic experience: Very nice hotel, good rooms, good service, except for details regarding the children, no changes in the menu under any circumstances, the most important complaint is that the wedding ceremony was at 4:00 p.m., I started without us, since That commitment was to deliver the room at 2:00 p.m. and we did not access it until 4:00 p.m., unpleasant, we missed a good part of the ceremony. Fantastic experience: I photographed a destination wedding at this wonderful resort. I also stayed here and had breakfast, lunch and dinner here for a couple of days. It was a wonderful stay. Staff speaks great English (a lot of them even speak Dutch, which is my native language) and were friendly and helpful. All the food was delicious, rooms and beds were comfy and collaborating with the venues wedding planner was a treat. Would highly recommend this place to any couple considering Castell d’Empordà for their wedding. As a destination wedding photographer with 10 years of experience I’ve seen a lot of different venues and this one really stood out.

Fantastic experience: Visited here with my husband who decided to book a table to have a dinner. Great choice. There are beautiful views and the sunset was awesome. The waiter suggest us some dishes from the menu and everything was delicious. We tried as starters octopus and salmon with such a tasty wine. As a main course we tried the lamb and it was great. The dessert was amazing, chocolate and sweet wine... No words! Thank you Christian for all your recommendations and your notes, we went to all those places and it was amazing. We were lucky to find such a nice waiter. Next time we will book to stay at the hotel for sure!!

Fantastic experience: Ideal terrace to go and enjoy the sunset with spectacular views of the Empordà. Although the cocktails go up a bit in price, we were 4 and made wine glasses, which comes out much more carefully. The space is very well maintained and the staff very attentive.

Fantastic experience: We have planned our wedding at Castell d'Emporda in Summer 2021. Covid made it very difficult and we had to change lots of things last minute. However, Elisabet and Sandra (from Castell d'Emporda) made everything possible so we could enjoy fully our weekend. The location was perfect, the food delicious and the service was amazing. Fantastic experience: For years we wanted to book but it was always full. A few days ago we were able to enjoy a perfect weekend. The rooms are very nice and spacious, the service is very correct and dinner in the restaurant "el drac" is excellent, the least positive is that there is a refrigerator in the room with the detail of water (that if) although I would put some pickle and soda of welcoming. The buffet breakfast has sweet pastries, cold cuts, jams, cereals, in short, several delicious options to choose from, and if you fancy some eggs or omelet you can order it at any time. In general, the experience has been positive despite the fact that it took us a few days of rain but still everything was very correct, to put one downside, with the rain the parking is not practical. Overall, I totally recommend it and will be back.

Fantastic experience: If you want to give your guests a magical wedding, go for Castell d’Emporda! We had our wedding a month ago at Castell d’Emporda and it was simply amazing. Everything was so well catered for and the service of the highest quality. The food, music, views and their service… The most remarkable has been their flexibility. We felt like we had a strong partner who wanted the same thing as us: make it very enjoyable for all of our guests. Sandra and her team were managing so well. Last minute requests were honored and they proved be great problem-solvers. We had fairly big wedding of 180 people over the weekend and their service was flawless. Thanks to them we were stress-free and able to enjoy to the max. We would recommend them hands down. For those organizing a big wedding, we would recommend taking all the rooms in the castle (we had a shortage). And for the castle, perhaps a good idea to invest in vaporizers for hot summer days!

Fantastic experience: The place is beautiful located so you have the surroundings views all over the castle. A reservation is needed with a couple of hours before. The food is near to Michelin star, the plating looks great and the taste is extremely good. Even the chief was very young, the food was delicious. The serving is really slow and the staff in poor prepared. But this is a general problem in all the Spain. They walk a lot in the restaurant not knowing what to do. They don't know the timing, and even in which side to put the fork and knife. If you want to eat great food but you are a tolerant person with a lot of patience you will enjoy it!

Fantastic experience: This castle is old, very old, but the hotel has all the modern conveniences you could possibly wish for. There's even a world's largest scale model of the Battle of Waterloo upstairs. The surrounding Catalonian farmland provides a lovely backdrop. It's an ideal spot for bikers given its proximity to numerous trails as well as the Costa Brava.

Fantastic experience: Visited for a long weekend with my girlfriend, beautiful hotel, great food in both restaurants, outstanding staff and facilities. On top of that everything at the hotel is very reasonably priced. One of the standout breaks we have had and will be returning. If you are staying for longer than a couple of days and want to explore some of the surrounding towns I would recommend renting a car as the hotel is quite remote. Overall, an excellent experience.

I went to see a Jazz concert in a cozy stone room and fireplace, I enjoyed a simple vermouth on the terrace that gives breathtaking views of the Baix Empordà (once rice fields) and I was able to visit the monumental collection-exhibition with great surprise of lead soldiers who recreate a battle ... surrounded by gardens and nature, in short, a delight for the senses, the day I can stay and I will tell you.
