La Gaviota is a family business. Thanks to its size, they can afford to offer a close relationship with their customers. Moreover, they might be the most tranquil campsite in Sant Pere Pescador. They are located in the Aiguamolls del Empordà Natural Park, one of the most intact and wild nature reserves on the Costa Brava. They have the privilege of being right on the shoreline, on the vast beach of Sant Pere Pescador, 40 km of fine sand, shallow and clear water. Kids love it!

Fantastic experience: Superbly located site right on the beach and only a short bike ride from the town itself. The site's facilities are immaculate, with a good on site restaurant and bar. The pitches are generous, with a mix of sun and shade. Would definitely return but do book ahead, it's popular!

Fantastic experience: Super schöner, kleiner Campingplatz. Direkt am Strand gelegen ( mit kleiner Strandbar)und nur 10 Minuten mit dem Rad ins Städtchen. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und äußerst nett freundlich:-). Die Sanitäranlagen sind super sauber. Das Restaurant am Platz ist ebenfalls top ( lecker und preislich absolut in Ordnung!). Die ganze Atmosphäre auf dem Platz war einfach toll und wir haben uns hier so wohl gefühlt, dass wir auch direkt verlängert haben. Der Platz ist wirklich einfach klasse und wir waren nicht das letzte hier;-).

Fantastic experience: Wij waren in juli op deze fijne, kleinschalige camping pal aan het strand met leuke strandbar en op fietsafstand van het gezellige dorpje Sant Pere Pescador. De medewerkers bij receptie en restaurant zijn vriendelijk en het sanitair wordt goed schoon gehouden. Lekker gegeten op het terras. De meeste percelen zijn niet zo groot maar wel mooi gelegen onder de bomen. De grotere percelen hebben vrijwel geen schaduw. Er staat veel wind in de middag dus ideaal om te kiten/windsurfen. Veel Nederlandse gezinnen (leuk voor tieners) maar ook genoeg andere nationaliteiten. Gezellige sfeer!

Fantastic experience: La Gaviota really has everything a great campsite needs and I have thought for a long time whether it is clever to recommend this place. We arrived in the off-season without a reservation and almost everything was booked. It seems to be common, but at the very nice reception, we still got one of the last spots. Many regular guests who have been coming here for years. The spots are large and vary in shade. For very large vehicles, there are some spots in the front part, but maneuvering further back is definitely difficult. Very clean and modern sanitary facilities that seem to be cleaned constantly. The restaurant on site is excellent, which is why many 'external' guests come as well. Attentive and friendly service, delicious food. A well-stocked supermarket is right on site and seems to always be open... as, by the way, is the restaurant. The wonderful beach is just a few meters away on foot, and it takes 10 minutes to bike to the city. Phew, what can I say? A great place if you like it when a lot of German is spoken.

Positive experience: A beautiful, smaller campsite on a spacious, well-kept beach. However, they charge 7.50€/day for electricity, which I find totally overpriced. We only had the refrigerator running in the camper, the neighbor had the air conditioning running 24 hours and also pays the 7.50€. Since the operation of air conditioners is loud at night, it should be banned at night and charging electricity costs based on consumption would be much fairer. Although the campsite advertises at the reception and on its website as an ACSI partner, no ACSI discounts were granted. This makes this campsite very expensive in the low season compared to other ACSI campsites we visited this year in the region. We paid 109 € for 3 nights with the camper, 2 people, dog, and electricity in the low season.

The facilities are very well maintained, with daily attention to detail (gardeners, cleaning of paths, plants, watering, etc.) and extremely clean and modern sanitary facilities (the cleaning team seems to clean all day). Many spots are suitable for caravans and smaller campers (VW buses, etc.) as they are somewhat tight. However, these spots are very well shaded by trees. The reception takes care of guests' concerns very diligently in all languages. There is a restaurant where you can eat decently and a small minimarket with essentials and fresh bread all day. On the coast, around noon, the wind regularly picks up, making the bay very popular among surfers and kitesurfers. Thus, it is only conditionally suitable for swimming and simply sunbathing on the beach. But for us, it is definitely THE discovery, and we will happily return.

Fantastic experience: Perfect site. Well laid out, toilet and shower blocks are super clean. Great laundry room. Helpful reception staff, well stocked shop with lots of fresh produce. We absolutely loved our stay here, one of the highlights of our 8 week trip. Pitches are just big enough, not loads of space, but everyone was super friendly and helpful. The beach is right outside the campsite, clean white sand, perfect for families, but you would need to take your own shade and seats. The campsite restaurant is great, food and service excellent. Nearby there are some wonderful restaurants (Ma Gusta was our favourite, a bit pricey but so worth it), and you can fill up on the cheap local wine there; we tried white, red and rose and enjoyed them all. Will definitely return here.

Fantastic experience: We arrived at the campsite without a reservation and were lucky to get a spot in mid-May. The lady at the reception (spoke very good German, English, Spanish, French, and Dutch) was surprised that it was almost as full as in the high season. The site is right by the sea, but a bit away from the nearest town. To reach Fiese, a bike is recommended. However, we didn't take one in our van, but we didn't need it for just one night anyway. There is a restaurant right at the campsite which is highly recommended. Very friendly staff and great food, even if it can be something special sometimes.

Fantastic experience: The bar and restaurant area is always immaculate, the staff are welcoming and very friendly and helpful. We were served on a regular basis by a guy called Marcus who was one of the best waiters we’ve experienced on our visit, all the other waiters and waitresses were also very good. Food was really good value for money and always very good. We ate tapas every day for 8 days after returning from the beach. I would highly recommend this place for food and drink. The plots are of a correct size and with very good shade, the only drawback I find in this regard is that the electricity connection is a bit far and you have to bring a good extension cord and an adapter for cetac, otherwise you can’t connect. It has direct access to the beach of Sant Pere Pescador, which is beautiful, and is close to everything, Aiguamolls, l'Escala, Roses, everything is about a 20 min drive, and nearby, there are large supermarkets for shopping. If you go with a tent, there are a couple of companies that rent fridges and small appliances for about 40-45€ a week and they bring them to your plot, the camping itself takes care of making the reservation if you talk to them.
