Fantastic experience: Had heard good things about this place before we arrived in Girona and it did not disappoint. We turned up for brunch at a very busy period, but we were given a warm welcome and some seats were pointed out for us to choose. The food is absolutely 1st class, fresh, healthy and beautifully presented. Yes you pay a little more than some other places but it is definitely worth it. We tried brunch elsewhere in town and it wasn't a patch on La Fabrica, and not much cheaper. After making this mistake we decided we needed to visit La Fabrica later in the day, and again it didn't disappoint. If you want fresh, tasty, locally sourced and beautiful presented food then this is the only place you need to visit in Girona. Plus you'll get the odd pro cyclist visiting too, if that's your thing.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I ate here at least 4 times during our stay to Girona. We only had bike three days because we rode for 5 in Mallorca as well. I love how we could park our bikes, fill our water bottles, use the restroom, pump our tires, and enjoy our wonderful breakfast food all at the same time. The meals are great if you enjoy a European or American breakfast. Stop by La Fabrica Girona and meet the lovely owner in person as she is there and willing to help. Very impressed with the vibe, leadership, and food.

The attention is incredible, the English-speaking girl is very tactful and very nice. We have been there 3 times and both the drinks and the sweets or toast have been very good. Fantastic experience: The cafe has become our ‘must go’ eating place in Girona. Breakfasts, lunch all very helpful and plenty of it. You can tell that everyone loves working there. Always smiling and helpful. I like the idea of ordering at the counter. It is only small with lots of informal sharing of large tables so be prepared to wait at busy times.

We had a breakfast bagel, pulled pork bagel and dulce de leche waffel and all was amazing (watch out - this waffle is suuuper sweet but equally tasty). Fantastic experience: Mixed feeling of not getting brunch there, as the cafe is very popular and by the time we went in, there was no table available, and also, I already had breakfast at home, therefore, I came in for coffee and piece of sweet. Coffee is delicious, I had piccolo with coconut milk, ordered a hummingbird cake and poppyseed cake. We get to sit down outside on the stairs with some cushions, which isn’t too bad at all. I like the texture and flavours of the cake, they were moist with different colours, I personally would love it more if they are less sweet, but I know the majority would love how it is now. Hopefully I will have another chance to come back for their breakfast as their presentation is sooooo appealing. Regardless, I highly recommended their coffee!

Fantastic experience: Lovely little place at the bottom of some beautiful stairs. Smoothie was great and very tasty. Cappuccino was not really a cappuccino and personally I did not like the taste. The food was very good, we had some nice bagels and a fruit and yoghurt bowl. We would really recommend to go for brunch at La Fabrica!

Fantastic experience: It’s probably the best cafe in the whole of Catalunya. The coffee, the food and the cakes are all extremely good. If you are visiting Girona then definitely go here. If cycling is something that interests you then this is a phenomenal place. There’s bikes and cycling jerseys inside from pros and you’ll often be able to see a couple of pro riders having a coffee here as well. If you come by on a bike there’s a parking spots for bikes and you can rent a lock so that you can sit and enjoy your coffee without having to worry about your bike getting stolen. This is my favorite cafe in Catalunya.

Fantastic experience: Was looking for a breakfast spot staying in a hotel nearby and La Fabrica popped up. If you are familiar with the current breakfast culture in London you shall find this place familiar: sourdough bread, avocado, eggs all served with nice touch and very instagram friendly. Variety of toasts, bagels, bowls plus good coffee and vegan options do not disappoint. Probably something different on the breakfast joints Girona map from what we managed to see during short trip. Otherwise head further down to old town for your dose of coratdo and roll.

Fantastic experience: One of the first specialty coffee shops in Girona, La Fabrica is run by Amber and her ex-pro-cyclist-turned-coffee-geek husband Christian. They roast their own beans so not only is the coffee outstanding, but the food is amazing too. So much effort is put into each dish that they look like works of art that are too precious to eat. The service is very friendly and of course, they're cyclist-friendly too. Make sure you check this place out!

Fantastic experience: I'm not usually into taking photos of food but you have to make an exception with this place! Small, humble café with the ability of making simple, healthy and nutritious dishes look divine and taste the same. The breakfast bowl and orange juice with ginger, pictured, was a highlight. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Visited LA FABRICA during a short stay in Girona and came for breakfast. The atmosphere is amazing and feels like cycling history. The combination of the stone walls and the nice lighting creates a very warm atmosphere. The cake display is huge but I did go for a 'fried vegetable, egg and avocado' breakfast. When it arrived at the table I was already amazed by the presentation. It came in a small metal pan on a wooden board and well designed (see photos). The others of our group ordered the same and everybody really liked the food. Coffee - I think that's like wine where everybody has a different taste. The Coffee in LA FABRICA has a nice aroma and a slight fruitiness - probably similar to the coffee you get in most places in London. Big bonus - it is cycling friendly. Bike racks outside and bike locks to borrow. Just perfect. I will definitely come back next time I'm in town. Only thing I would mention is that it can be quite loud in there if it is full.

Fantastic experience: Quintessential cycling cafe. Always got cycling on the box and lots of cycling materials to read if you want to kill time. Staff speak multiple languages and are generally very friendly. The coffee is top class (many places in girona have terrible coffee!). I'd recommend the humble vegetarian and the avocado/eggs on toast for food. This place gets busy as its so popular so you may need to wait if you're there during prime hours!

Fantastic experience: Great place to start your morning. The toasts are well portioned and absolutely delicious. Try the avocado toast with an egg (the other piece of toast won't have an egg on it, so you would need to order two if you'd like both piece to have egg). The Dirty Chai with coconut milk was particularly interesting. It was sweeter than the regular, but paired very nicely with the spices of the chai. We also enjoyed the nutter butter and the cheesecake. I do not enjoy cheesecake, but this cheesecake was unlike any other I've tried. It was not creamy, rather more dry and grainy. It's worth a try!
