Fantastic experience: For me it has been like going back 20 years and going to eat at Grandma's house. Highly recommended the escudella and the carn d'olla, and the snails. I already have a new favorite restaurant in Alt Empordá.

Fantastic experience: Only cross the arcade of the gateway already guessed that you are in a restaurant of authentic Catalan cuisine. The friendly and friendly reception, the rustic Catalan vault dining room and decorated with different traditional elements. When taking note of anchovies, snails or sausages, along with a wine to irrigate food, are a good start. Despite having grilled meats, they thank you have decided on one of their casserole dishes and with them you remember those sucking stews made with affection and without haste. The brutal amounts that will make impossible be hungry. The escudella and pot meat with all that it must have to be authentic and there is hardly another place to make it just as good. Desserts arrive and you are doubting if you ask them, you decide to do it and you do not regret it. Along with the coffees you ask for the box note and you discover that the price is just for the quality, quantity and treatment received. In short: Excellent restaurant for lovers of abundance and enemies of the many stars with tire name.

Highly recommended duck with olives as well as dishes of stew and pot meat, the most abundant portions of the menu for sure. The treatment is familiar and very close (maybe a hair too much at some point). 100% recommended.

Fantastic experience: Excellent meal. Delicious stews, authentic food, spectacular escudella, family service, friendly and warm. They just need a little more wine offer, but the ones they have are also great! We will come back for sure. It's a safe bet.

Fantastic experience: Whenever I go we eat top quality and in abundance. The treatment is very familiar and pleasant, they advise you if you don't know what to eat. The back and the leg of lamb are impressive and the stews are for dipping bread. quality and price highly recommended. A place where you have to go if you visit the Alt Empordà area. It is true that there is no vegetarian or vegan food but there is always an alternative that they can offer you. We will repeat for sure as we really like talking to Simone, the owner and cook of this emblematic restaurant together with Mercè and the rest of the workers, all family members.

It came from the excellent cooperative. Vilajuïga's water is unique. Excellent veal biscuits. The chicken with scampi impossible to beat. Amazing bread. The stuffed apple eye because it will be good but they do not bring me it for dessert (it has meat) For me it is the best value for money place I know. I hope they stay here for a long time. There are very few authentic cuisine places left. After the initial stress, the familiar treatment has been a pleasure. Fantastic experience: This restaurant is legendary, and it is already the third generation that directs it. The star dish is "l'a esculla i carn d'olla" .... wonderful. Made with love and as it used to be. In the same way the cod and the lamb. You have to ask for a reservation. I've known them since my parents took me as a child, and they keep their essence. You can visit the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes and then have dinner at Can Maricanes.
