Fantastic experience: We were in Tossa De Mar, first visit... and it was a hot old day, bloody hot! Yes you're in Spain in August, what do you expect. The family were complaining about the heat, and about being hungry, & thirsty. Right, fair enough, let's go here I said pointing at Restaurant Pic Nic... and we sat outside at a table. The kids were still grumbling about the heat, so I picked up the paper table cloth that had recently been laid, and I took it inside, and we found a table under a fan. My Wife & I got a 500ml beer each, and the kids a soft drink each. Again myself and my Wife went with a pizza, and the kids, egg and chips, and pasta. The drinks arrived quickly, and frankly so did the food. I'll be honest, I was struggling with my pizza, it was a lot food for the money. My lad loved his egg and chips... he's not very adventurous when it comes to food, and it was probably the best meal of our three week holiday :o) My daughter had a pile of pasta, and a bowl of grated cheese, and she liked it, but it was too much for her. Total cost was 42 Euro, about £38. The pound is still on the weak side, but we thought it was money well spent. We spend lots of our holidays in France, and this was a first time trip across the border... and this is a great value meal to us. Good food at a good price. I'll be honest I was just looking at Google maps, and looking at places we visited... right now it's still August here in England, and you'd think it was autumn, grey skies and rain... so I'm reminiscing about the sunshine. That said I came across reviews for this restaurant, and I thought I'd give a review of our experience, but ours differed a lot from many that I've just read. The man who served us, was run off his feet. If he gave the impression of being rude, then I missed it... maybe I look grumpy at times when I'm busy, who knows. All I know is that we enjoyed our meal. I speak French, but other than gracias I speak no Spanish... again the chap who served us spoke great English, which we were very grateful for. Felt guilty not being able to speak much Spanish... now that seems rude on my part. If you're looking for a good priced, no nonsense meal, then for us, this is a place to go to. We had to self isolate when we arrived back in the UK, and lost out on earnings, but frankly I wouldn't change anything. We had a great time in Spain, and Tossa was a lovely place to visit.
