The temperature in April is warmer, although we may find some cold days. It is a very good time to be able to do routes or hiking without being too hot. In addition, the days are much longer, reaching maximum temperatures of 20ºC and minimum of 8ºC at night, so do not forget to take a jacket for when it cools down. In addition, the Tramontana wind makes the temperature appear lower than it really is.

In April the rainy days stand out, as the Catalan saying goes: "In April, waters thousand." Therefore, there may be more humidity. Although it must be said that the rain helps the landscapes to look more colorful, with green leaves and colorful flowers.

The waters of the Mediterranean Sea are still a bit cold for bathing: they are at a temperature of 15ºC.

April is a good time to visit the Costa Brava as you can enjoy one of the most special Catalan traditions: Sant Jordi. On April 23 all towns usually have their stands of roses and books in the street creating a literary and romantic atmosphere on days when the sun shines.
