Fantastic experience: Nice hotel for on the road. Huge room ,bed was a little hard but it is always hard to please everyone with one type of matrass. Big bathroom with big bathtub. It is on a busy road but if you close the window it is totally silent. I liked the size very much but the night before at another hotel we got a room so small we could not even stand on the floor at the same time. Dog friendly but I haven't found a good place around to walk the dog.(not the hotels fault off course) Dog cost €10 but they at least have a pillow and food bowl for the dog. Other hotels charge the same and put you in their "oldest' room because some owners don't raise their dog properly, and do nothing for the dog. Friendly staff that speak English at reception. We used the underground garage for our car . It is still a border and that attracts ill intentioned people. Only 5 euro and you can drive in and out as much as you want. We payed 75 for one night two persons and dog and underground garage, no breakfast. Breakfast would have bin 8 euro per person. We went to the pb gasstation and next to there is a little restaurant. 2 cappuccino and a milk coffee not even 5 euro. And food is cheap there also. They have no restaurant in the hotel but they direct you behind the hotel for eating. DON'T GO THERE! Go to restaurant el sol across the street from gran jonquera. Good food for a fair price. All in all compared to other hotels in the same price point this is very nice. Only tip I would give the hotel is maybe but a water heater in the room with some thee and instant coffee. Or even just only a bottle with water. We will come back there on our next trip.
