Fantastic experience: Small refuge in an impressive place, at an altitude of 2,160 m. We went along the road that begins in the town of Bolvir, passes through the town of Guils de Cerdanya, reaches the Nordic ski resort of Guils-Fontanera. From here you take a dirt road for about 3 kms and you reach the refuge. According to the boy from the Refuge, this road is closed when the bad weather starts. The route is very beautiful and the views when you arrive at the refuge are impressive. We came from Andorra and we had called before and asked if it was possible to eat ... They said yes, and in an hour and little we arrived at the refuge. The couple that had taken care of us very well. We ate very well too ... a bit of sausage, a bit of hummus, a salad and then a mountain rice with mushrooms, to finish with a chocolate cake and a homemade youghourt with a strawberry base. The food was very, very good. An organic beer and cola to drink. Everything is quite natural. From there you can make beautiful excursions if you stay to sleep in the refuge (which must be booked in advance). The setting is spectacular and although the rain was threatening we were able to eat in peace. We were even able to see a little fox that came up to the shelter and which we later saw again on the way back. We did the return following the dirt road passing through the towns of Meranges and Ger. This way back is a little longer than the one uphill and the car goes through areas where there are beautiful views but also quite high next to you (it is advisable to be careful). It is really worth going to the Refugi de la Feixa. A place to return.
