Fantastic experience: The time we went to Más Blanc, in Ullastret, to spend a few days in this house, was perfect. We had fantastic sunny days, refreshing wind at the end of the afternoon, a lot of tranquility, visits to the porch of the hens and the little dogs (they are adorable), and a very festive atmosphere, with many details for comfort (Christmas blankets, breakfast mugs, tree, lights...). These days were perfect for biking on the paths, without cars, without hassle, surrounded by nature and fields, with the sound of birds accompanying the beauty of this entire area in northern Catalonia. The kids took advantage of all the sunny hours to be outdoors and play ping pong, sunbathe, walk to nearby villages along the dirt paths, and ride bikes. The adults enjoyed morning strolls, endless conversations at the porch table during lunch, conversations that we even extended with coffee until after sunset. And, as a finishing touch, after sunset, we took advantage of the warmth of the house preparing dinner in that open kitchen to the living room, which is great for being with family and enjoying the fireplace until the early morning. Fantastic experience: Mas Blanc is located in Ullastret, a town just about 14 miles from Girona and 5 miles from the beautiful beaches of Costa Brava. Mas Blanc is perfect for families and friends traveling together or just couples that want to get away from the city. There are two suites. The first one can accommodate 4 people and the second one up to 6. Both suites have a fully-equipped kitchen (dishes, glassware, pots and pans included) and fast wifi. Mas Blanc, dating back to the 1600s, was renovated by their owners, Carmen and Marti, just a couple of years ago. This is a great place to stay if you are a nature and history lover. Carmen and Marti are great hosts. My husband and I visited from the Washington DC area in Nov. 2018 and had a great time with friends here.
