Due to various unpleasant things: first we ate at the restaurant and the service left much to be desired, for each dish we ordered, they returned to tell us that it was not available, and this happened 4 times (among many other things that happened). We were not allowed to leave the car inside the plot (when we have always done so) and when we asked the reason, the explanations made no sense (due to space, when the plot was huge, and to avoid soil compaction, although then a caravan/van is installed on the same plot and you see that many other people do have their cars inside without issue, even though their plots are smaller) and the person in charge seemed unpleasant in the way they spoke to us. Furthermore, they didn’t even turn on the light when accompanying us to the plot; their colleague who happened to be passing by did that later. Two days a week the music is played until midnight in the bar, (which could be heard throughout the camping with intensity) and being camped in front is really unbearable. And finally, once we checked out, we discovered that if you want to use the camping services you have to pay for the whole day (which I perfectly understand), but once we expressed our surprise since on other occasions we hadn’t paid for the extra day, they firmly denied that it was possible. And even paying, not being able to leave the car inside, when in other years they had also allowed us to do so without issue, but they also said that this wasn't true. Besides, this is not the camping’s fault, but disrespectful people passing through our plot in the middle of the day as a shortcut, even if we placed things to prevent it, even with bikes, and kids shouting at 12:30 at night in my plot and around the camping, and nothing happens... no one says anything. Waiting for everyone to stop making noise so we can sleep (all our neighbors were in the same situation). We did not feel comfortable at all, which is a shame, but we will not return.

Generally, I am a difficult person, but as far as I'm concerned, a big thumbs up for the camping owners and of course for the cleaning staff!! There is a small but sufficiently large shop where you can buy some things as well as bread. The adjacent restaurant/bar has a nice menu and a cold beer is never far away. The pool is supervised by a lifeguard and is equipped with artificial grass. Flip-flops are requested to be placed on the designated racks and overall, it is just a nice spacious and clean pool. The atmosphere at the campsite is very friendly with Spanish men playing petanque (jeu de boules) in the street, children riding bicycles, or people relaxing by their tent/caravan. Everyone is friendly and greets each other when passing, regardless of what nationality you may be. Although the campsite was full, we never really felt that it was too crowded. Even at peak times, there was always a shower or toilet available. At the campsite itself, branches and leaves were removed daily by the maintenance staff, everything was meticulously taken care of and after midnight, it had to be, and was, also quiet. The night watchmen kept an eye on this! Jordi is the go-to guy at this campsite, and you can ask him anything. So we rented a fridge through him and could consult him when looking for a garage nearby. The beach is within walking distance, and Torre Valentina is also close for a nice walk along the coast. In short, this camping has saved our holiday. Eurocamping was unfortunately full because we usually camp at Eurocamping a bit further down, but with camping Costa Brava, there is a formidable competitor! We are already looking forward to next year!
