Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend eat sleep cycle more for renting your bike in Girona. I had a Willier SL that worked great for the enthusiast cyclist. I was supposed to have carbon wheels but it had on alloy and they switched it right away. I had a flat one day and unfortunately the saddle pack was missing the 6mm so I needed to get a taxi back into town which they refunded me for. Great service all around. Also hit up the cafe pre or post ride!

Fantastic experience: I’ve ridden bikes all over the world. For a 10 day gravel riding trip to Girona in a group of 10 riders most of us hired bikes from Eatsleep. Fantastic experience: If you're thinking about joining one of the Eat Sleep Cycle Group Rides - Register and DO IT! Yesterday was the Vallter 2000 organised ride and what a ripper of a day! Not only was the whole day super organised by Louise, with clear briefing, route, awesome ride fuel to get us to the first rest stop - it didn't stop there. The support vehicles and super nice guys were waiting at each of the set points with food, water, gels, bars, drink mix and encouragement. In addition to the organisation, what a great bunch of riders to form bonds and memories with. I won't lie... it was a slog to get home in the heat and wind but we looked out for each other and got it done. Back at ESC it was beers, pasta and stories all round. My only suggestion is to run these every week! Thanks for a top day out, some great memories... and sore legs.

The two guides were wonderful (Guisep, Zippy), the routes are so beautiful and epic, and every evening the dinners were top-caliber and included excellent wines. If you are looking for a quality outfitter for Girona or other locations, LOOK NO FURTHER. We were all so impressed and commented amongst ourselves how pleasantly surprised and impressed we were. The "Classic Climbs" isn't easy, but it was conducive for epic rides that we won't forget. We stayed at Hotel Ciutat - the rooms are small which is (normal for Europe) but otherwise the breakfasts were great and the hotel is centrally located with everything in walking distance.

I didn’t expect to be able to replace everything easily, e.g. my tubeless puncture repair kit. Not only did they have every single piece of equipment I needed but they were extremely helpful and passionate about cycling culture!

Fantastic experience: After I booked the Air B&B and flight for a cycling trip to Girona, Spain, I looked into renting a bike ahead of time for the week I’d be staying there. Eat, Sleep, Cycle had a fairly expansive presence on the internet because of all they have to offer, from the delectable goodies, coffees, and teas in their cafe (and live music on Friday nights) to a variety of clothing available from their retail kit shop (including a high-end eponymous line of clothing) to a separate retail store for bikes, components, and accessories, to descriptions of rental bikes available from their separate rental bike shop, to a helpful list of recommended road and gravel routes throughout the region (which are available as downloadable maps for cycling computers). The online process for choosing a rental bike and then booking it was easy and quick, and they had a number of different kinds of bikes available, all very high-end with sticker prices in the thousands. However, I had paid more per day for lesser bikes that I’d rented in the U.S. I booked my Basso Astra and looked forward to a fun week of intrepid exploration and spectacular riding. Which is indeed what I ended up experiencing, but only after my iPhone was stolen by a pickpocket as I boarded the train from Barcelona to Girona. That first day was miserable as I made my way to the Air B&B by asking locals and cafe employees for directions and taking notes on the only paper I had with me—the pages of a book of crossword puzzles I’d picked up at the airport (I wouldn’t even have had a pen if it weren’t for that). I found my way to the Eat, Sleep, Cycle cycling hub centrally located on the edge of the old city where employees were immediately helpful when I’d mentioned my stolen phone. Mike gave me the wifi password so I could finally connect my computer to the internet, and the barista brought over a large bottle of cold water. As I was unable to load my maps onto my cycling computer without the companion app on my phone, Mike would later hook up my cycling computer via cable to the store desktop and sync whatever routes I wanted onto my device. If it weren’t for that, I would have been lost—unable to follow the intricate directions needed to successfully navigate these multi-hour loops. The mechanics in the rental bike shop were laid back and extremely helpful with the initial bike fit and any questions or concerns I had later in the week (they even advised I stop in midweek so they could swap out the batteries for the electronic shifting system). Employees in the retail clothing store gave me an immediate 10% off on E.S.C. brand items. The bib shorts and jersey that I got there are the most well-made and high-quality that I’ve ever owned. And they were priced competitively, even without the 10% off, less expensive than similar but more poorly made items from several other bike stores in the old quarter. The city block that E.S.C. takes up, with its cafe, outdoor seating, equipment shop, touring office, clothing shop, and rental shop, is truly a hub where any cyclist can spend much of their waking day when not actually on the bike, eating, drinking, shopping, and hanging out with other cyclists. When I return to Girona, I will definitely rent from E.S.C. again, and I look forward to picking up more clothing to add to what’s becoming a high-end collection of kit.

I rented a bike on my first day there, but unfortunately, the bike was not working well. There was something wrong with the gear and that made my ride of 100km quite annoying. I told them about the problem and they looked at the case. A couple of days later I was approached by them and was told that they found the fault and that they would like to return the money for the bike rental as the quality was not how they want it to be. Hired 2 road bikes for a couple of days, the bike I initially rented wasn't available so got upgraded for no extra charge. Excellent condition and spec on the bikes. Garmin mounts were also included on the bikes which is always handy. Staff in all of the shops were super friendly, just down to having a general chat about the area and what we were up to rather than pushing any products or services. There was an organised gravel ride for one of the days which we were unable to ride, but there were plenty of people there for the ride which shows how popular the place and people are there. The shops themselves were excellent, boutique-like with high-end products from bikes to clothes. Would definitely recommend and will use again when back in Girona. A friend and I commented that if they had some of the apartments above the shops it would be a perfect cycle holiday destination as they would have their own little corner of the market in Girona.

I got the impression reserving would have been a good idea but a solid Basso cross bike was available. It cost me a bit more for shoes but they got me all set up quickly. I just rode from the shop and found my way (after a bit of wandering) to some great road and gravel riding. A map would have been helpful but there was decent cellular map coverage. Extremely memorable and a great adventure! Now I hope to return for a longer stay.

Having had several years in Majorca for our cycling trips, we fancied a bit of a change this year, so booked a trip to Girona. Eat Sleep Cycle were superb. The communication whilst organising was great. The bikes we had were really top notch. Overall highly recommended. And the cycling has been superb. We will be back.

Fantastic experience: What an amazing experience! 6 of us just completed a 6 day, 600km cycling trip with 15,000 feet of climbing. Eat Sleep Cycle did an amazing job making this a truly once in a lifetime experience. It began with their detailed planning of a customized trip. They were incredibly responsive every step of the way. And their expertise of the different routes, options, food and hotels ensured that everything would be great. Once we arrived in Girona, that superb level of service continued. I brought my own bike and they picked it up from the hotel, put it together and made sure it was working properly. Once out on the road, our guides for the week, Lee, Rien and Peter really shined. They supported us in every way possible, from detailed explanation of the routes, terrific food during stops and strong pulls into the wind! Despite the complexity of getting 6 flatlanders over a dozen cols through 2 countries and 6 hotels, all of the logistics were perfect. Most importantly, they made the trip an incredible amount of fun. I couldn't recommend Eat Sleep Cycle more.

Fantastic experience: Rented an Orbea Ocra (The Beast according to Brian ;-)!) via the website for three days and was pleasantly surprised how it handled and was set up! Brian did a great job helping me out and picking the bike up at our B&B in Sant Marti Vell after I had already returned to the flat plains in The Netherlands. Great service Brian! All in all I had three great days cycling in the Catalonian sun going up some hills, seeing lovely panoramas and enjoying the bike. Needless to say I fell in love with Girona and its surroundings: I will return. Keep up this great business you guys at Eat Sleep Cycle!

Fantastic experience: Every fit cycling enthusiast should ride the Pyrenees and Eat Sleep Cycle has put together a fantastic trip to do just that. Their inaugural trip in September 2016 was a huge success. Brian, Lee, and Louise, the owners of Eat Sleep Cycle, made it fun and they understand the need for hydration, nutrition, and rest on such an epic ride. Every night we stayed in great places that were quiet and we had huge delicious meals. On the road, we had excellent support ensuring we never got hungry or thirsty. The route was absolutely magnificent. I would highly recommend a trip with them.
