Museo Tesoro de la Catedral: Reviews
Positive experience:
It's worth it even if you only look at the tapestry of Creation. In perfect condition, scenes from Genesis, the seasons, and the story of Saint Helena searching for the true Cross are identified.

Included in the visit to the cathedral. It has an important collection in which the exceptional Romanesque tapestry of the Creation stands out. Also another 'rarity': the Arabic box from Medina Azahara.

Positive experience:
Small museum inside the cathedral of Girona, where the piece that stands out the most is undoubtedly the tapestry of the creation.
A work of art from the 11th century, unique in the world, measuring 3.58 x 4.50 meters, only comparable to the tapestry of Queen Matilda.
Although it is actually an embroidery, it is called a tapestry because that is how these works were referred to in the Middle Ages.

Fantastic experience:
It is a reference museum in Girona that I have visited on several occasions; but today it pleasantly surprised me because 1-the flow of visits has been modified. Entrance and exit from different places. 2-recommended itinerary- cathedral- cloister with special area access for the stained glass recovered from the 13th-14th century and treasure (area with the most special and emblematic pieces of the Treasure) 3-the treasure has been completely restored in areas highlighting the Romanesque and Gothic legacies. Now much more sober and spacious where the most special pieces shine Beatus of Girona, omeia chests, Charlemagne, Gothic paintings, and goldsmithing and Tapestry of Creation. 4-exclusive space where you can see the Tapestry of Creation. Includes an explanatory audiovisual space. 5-varied shop at the exit. Splendid to return!

Fantastic experience: one of the most amazing preserved Medieval tapestries in the world, tapis de la creació. Not to be missed
Positive experience: The tour of the Cathedral includes entrance into this treasure room. It has a nice array of artifacts, however the final room displays the exceptional 'Creation Tapestry'. The tapestry is very large, and surprisingly intact for its age and displays a wide range of well-rendered compositions and religious iconography. This piece is so impressive that I may never forget it; certainly worth the brief walk through the treasure rooms.
Positive experience:
Interesting place
