There, various pieces found in the archaeological excavations of the castle are exhibited. The museum is the center of the population in the old house La Gabella. Gabella is the name of an old tax on some essential goods, and it was also a name used for the storage rooms where the same products were kept. The building has references from years ago, dating back to the 17th century, and it is a square-plan ancestral house with a four-sloped roof that has had various uses over time. From gabella, passing through the Hostal de la Vila in the 18th century, the Pagès family house in the 19th century, until 1985, when it was designated for its current use: the Montseny Ethnological Museum.
