After our bad experiences at Firefly in Malaga, we booked in Girona with Hertz/Dollar. The car had some scratches and dents, which were documented in a PDF via email, so that was fine for me. When returning it, the station was closed and, as instructed, I dropped the key in the mailbox with a bit of apprehension. The next morning, I already received an email confirming the return and 15 minutes later the settlement of the deposit of €0. The reserved amount on my credit card was also canceled. So everything was perfect.

Attention, before you rent at the counter check the price on booking or another online portal. My contact at the counter said it was 110 euros more for 3 days than on booking. That's why I stepped away from the counter and rented online, and then returned with the reservation number and received a higher class car than the one I booked online. Cars with unlimited mileage, with insurance for the whole EU. The service is very nice, although it's worth taking pictures of damages when picking up because when returning, the lady asked if I had photos that showed those damages were already present. You pick up and return at the same parking lot behind the ordinary customer airport parking. The barriers open automatically, you just have to stop in the designated place for the camera to read the license plate. Overall, I recommend it.
