Fantastic experience: Beautiful spot, prefect for families with a fenced pool, lovely grassy garden, toys and books and puzzles, even baby gates for the stairs. BBQ and sauna also great. Nice and modern inside but still has that country retreat feel. Will be back again and again!

Fantastic experience: First things first: the beds are extremely comfortable, the couches are cosy and even though it was January we were always warm thanks to the heating and the wonderful open fire. Location: the house is in the countryside so it's really quiet but it's also really close to towns and villages when you need them. Picking up supplies in Banyoles is really quick. Before you reach the centre of town there is a petrol station and supermarkets (plus the Girona bus stop). We found this really convenient. We parked in Banyoles and went to Girona by bus, which was cheap and really quick. In addition, Figueres, Besalu and the coast are also really close. At the farmhouse: a good deal of thought has gone in to making the house as comfortable as possible. The appliances are top-end and the art is stunning. The pool looks inviting, the sun was shining but it was January! Ignasi: our host really knows the area well and speaks impeccable English. The standard of food here is exceptional and Ignasi can provide invaluable advice such as local markets for cheese and vegetables. In conclusion: it was lovely in winter; I suspect each season will reveal new beauty to Mas Bernad.

Fantastic experience: Ignacio was a great host. We booked through Airbnb and it was awesome. The place is well updated with a modern and rustic feel at the same time. There is a sauna, pool outdoor BBQ grill. The host was super helpful, responded very quickly to inquiries through WhatsApp. I highly recommend it!
