The garden with pool is lovingly designed and maintained, the breakfast plentiful and varied. All in all a place where you can feel very comfortable. Fantastic experience: We went one night with PlanB's "Picturesque Getaway" pack! (as Gemma G). The hostel is on the outskirts of Castelló d'Empúries, very well connected. We arrived in the late evening and were greeted by Salvador (owner), who showed us the whole house as well as our room. He also recommended a couple of places for dinner (El Trull, in Fortià, 3 or 4 km from the house). The house is very good, clean and tidy. It even has a kitchen for guests who stay longer so they can cook dinner. They also have a double room (2 + 2) separated by a door to be able to go with the children and have a little privacy, that seemed great to us to return in summer with the little ones. The room we had was very spacious (in fact it had a double bed and a single bed) and the bathroom was very clean. At night we did not get a single noise from the outside, we had a great rest. If I had to put any "downsides" it was that apparently we released the latex mattress of the double bed and, to me particularly, I did not like it very much (it was difficult to move). But I understand that the issue of mattresses is like the colors, everyone prefers one :) In any case, we slept great. As a curious thing, the TV has the volume limited to a quarter of the maximum (great not to disturb others) and the room has its own heating control, which is very good, since in the other houses in the that we had always been central heating and sometimes my wife was cold. In the morning we were attended by Carmen (owner), who is a charm. She explained the breakfast to us and was concerned to know how everything was going. Breakfast has cold cuts, cheeses, bread, tomato spreads, butter, jams, honey and pastries (I'm sure I'll have something left). It seemed to us more than enough and everything was delicious. It has free WIFI. Of course we are wanting more and we will surely return in summer with the kids !! :)
