Essencia Restaurant Opening Hours, Menu and Opinions

Fantastic experience: Anyone who cares about eating out should come to Essencia in Empuriabrava. We have been strong supporters of the offerings here since before COVID. That brought about a management and chef change and we were initially wondering whether the former high standards could be maintained. Happily, the formula didn't change very much and we continue to eat at Essencia as often as we can. Please, do yourselves a favour, go the few extra metres to eat at a price/quality level that is outstanding. (The daily menu is not restricted to weekday lunchtimes, but it's a couple of Euros more expensive evenings and weekends. At that level, it's still amazing value.)

Fantastic experience: We had an excellent meal. No problem arranging gluten-free dishes on the menu (we even had gluten-free bread). The server was very caring. The dishes were very fresh and of high quality with original and refined tastes. (I recommend the beef tartare as a starter and the monkfish with its risotto was delicious). The decoration is pleasant and soft, the atmosphere calm. In short, a very good restaurant.
