Next time we’re in Girona this will be one of our first stops! They do a beer-and-burger meal offer when you do the Thursday morning shop ride with Bike Breaks Cycle Centre Girona. The kitchen closes early on a Sunday so if you’re doing dinner - head there on a different evening.

Super fresh food with a huge variety of snacks, amazing egg dishes, salads and Burgers. Coffee and all variations is really nice as well. Typical Italian style coffee (not fruity which I don’t like). Also the ‘Golden Milk’ is super nice. Great atmosphere as well and perfect for some work on the laptop upstairs. Fantastic experience: Eating vegan in Spain can be difficult, especially in smaller towns, especially breakfast, especially on a Sunday. Federal may not have many vegan options, but they have several vegetarian items available, and the few vegan items they do offer are delicious. They also label all menus with all possible allergens, which I really appreciated. They make their almond milk in house, offer soy, and have several vegan drinks on their menu. We ordered the spelt toast with cashew butter, avocado, toasted seeds, and rocket, and just added a little of our own nutritional yeast (which I strongly suggest those eating vegan travel with) for some protein. Our server was so sweet, spoke English well, and was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to the menu. I would definitely suggest them to anyone!

Breaking from the mold "Federal" serves home made cuisine for low prices (atleast against average Norwegian prices) not that they have to, God can only watch in dismay as the nearest "cafe" to the Cathedral serves hot dogs for 4€! The insides of Federal is modern and tempered, giving a small break to the stone maze of the city. If i ever come back this is the only place i will eat at! Giving away my options to try anything new knowing i've hit gold.
